Maria is an architectural and landscape designer and researcher from Greece.
She holds the Master in Landscape Architecture (MLA) and the Master in Design Studies (MDes) in Urbanism, Landscape and Ecology from Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
She currently works as a landscape designer for 51N4E and serves as a research assistant at the Critical Landscapes Design Lab and for prof. Gareth Doherty. She has previously served as a curatorial fellow at Cooper Hewitt and as a Design Discovery Instructor at Harvard Graduate School of Design. Her research is centered on representations of the Anthropocene, tracing as part of her MLA thesis ancient human/earthy histories imprinted in the subterranean ground layers of Athens.
